ST2 and ST3 Specialty Placements
In the current training program you will have a 6 month specialty job in your ST2 and another 6 month specialty job in your ST3. Each 6 month specialty job is divided into 2 x 3 month placements. Although there is not an official list of placements provided by the deanery, from our experience these are the most common job combinations. Almost all of these are based at the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital.
Actual placements available will depend on other factors including clinical fellows, academic trainees, trainees on maternity leave and LTFT trainees. If you have a request for a specific job combination it is worth discussing this with the TPD as it may be considered.
